Message from CCAA Founder, Executive Director,

Although I founded the CCAA in 1993, it has been our relationship with John Derringer and Q107 that has been a key factor in our exponential growth over the past five years. Because of their support, we have some of the most loyal sponsors and partners, many of whom were  present at the Derringer Charity Classic.  On behalf of CCAA, I want you to know that it is a privilege to be associated with you.  Thank you to all!

In what has been deemed a difficult economy, rather than opting out of community support, you, our sponsors, are thinking outside of the box and coming up with new and very creative ways to donate your goods, services, finances and volunteer hours.  This makes it possible for us to also reach out in new ways and with new partners. 

We are a national, non-profit, charitable organization, continuously involved in lobbying for legislative change and so we take no government funding.  That makes us totally reliant on the generosity of corporations like Q107, Corus Entertainment and committed individuals like John Derringer and you.  We support nearly 130 agencies, shelters, children’s services, police departments and other victim service agencies that do not always have the financial means or the time to raise the funds, to renovate their facilities to make them victim friendly. Each year, CCAA chooses one or two outside agency building projects to fund through our DreamBuild™ program.

Working with us on this year’s DreamBuild™ is just the kind of community service organization that makes a good partner. Together, with Eagle Worldwide Foundation, we will be helping to restore a building that will serve the community on the First Nations Reserve near Brantford. We know that, in Eagle Worldwide, we are partnering with an organization whose heart is to help, encourage and impact the community for a better tomorrow.

This DreamBuild™ project will be carried out under the supervision of CCAA and,  when the Build project is complete, we will give additional support, in any way we can.
