ARGO's Family Day

On Saturday, August 1st, CCAA families, friends, staff and volunteers attended the ARGOs vs Winnipeg Family Game Day at The Rogers Centre.  The weather was splendid and the whole day was absolutely “awesome” to quote one five year old.

The ARGOs treated us to a special event called ARGO's Recess that is a part of the Huddle Up program on anti-bullying and abuse.  Jason, founder of the program and  cheerleader Jessica both spoke about their experiences being bullied during their younger years.  One of the young girls in attendance was heard to express that she really related to Jessica and that it was "Great to know that I am not alone."

As you can see from the pictures, another ARGO cheerleader, Bridgette, gave everyone a real workout before everyone was led out to the field where they participated in the Fan Tunnel.  What an experience to be there when the players ran out from the locker rooms onto the field!

Following the game, the players and cheerleaders welcomed us onto the field.  They signed autographs and gave the families a "thrill of a lifetime".

Thanks ARGOs you have fans for life at the CCAA!
