WIMPY'S Diner - 1st Annual Charity Golf Tournament

When Cindy Hicks, Administrative Manager/Quality Assurance Coordinator for Wimpy's Diner called us to let us know that they were doing their very first Charity Golf Tournament and that they wanted us to be the recipients of the proceeds we were, of course, thrilled.

Cindy and Wimpy’s Operations Manager, Jim Daikos met us at our Newmarket location where they were given the tour of our warehouse and an overview of the work that we do. Cindy told us that the tournament would be a small one this year but that they were inviting their suppliers and if the event was successful they would plan to do another next year.  She humbly asked whether Gary Kruze, Martin’s brother and CCAA Ambassador,  might be available to attend and say a few words to the group.  As it happened, the HRPYR/THRP/CCAA Golf Tournament was on the same day at the same course.  Teresa Kruze was the emcee at the Human Resource tournament and Gary Kruze accepted the invitation to speak.  Gary said that even if they were not already going to be there, he would have accepted the invitation andTeresa also stepped up to the plate to thank the folks at Wimpy’s Diner along with their wonderful suppliers. Of course our illustrious and fearless leader, Ellen Campbell, also gave a heartfelt thanks through tears of gratitude.

All of us at the office love to go to Wimpy’s Diners for breakfast, lunch, dinner or even snacks and we are very excited about our new corporate partner and the people who work there.  We discovered that not only does Wimpy's serve great family cuisine, they really have heart.
